Business as Usual

Four weeks ago we packed up five years worth of office paraphernalia, all our stock and drove down the road to our new premises. We have set up a temporary space here until the building work is complete at Tower Street.  Those of you that have visited our Rye shop will know that it was bursting at the seams, so we felt it was time to extend our shop. It will grow to about four times the size, with space upstairs for some much requested classes.

So it’s business as usual at our Winchelsea Rd shop. Lots of light and space make for happy shoppers and Merchant & Mills staff! We also have plenty of parking, as we are now a little further out of town. We will be open Mon-Sat from 9.30 – 5.30pm, opening at 10am on a Saturday.

More space means more shopping, so we’ve had the joyful job of being able to do some more buying. We have extended our Dry Oilskin range, introducing a punchy Royal Blue and Grass green. The finish is drier and crisper than our waxed cottons with a matt appearance, the more you work with it the more textured it becomes. Ideal for a Landgate, Foreman jacket, Jack Tar bag and Rucksack.

Three new colours have been added to our Linen core collection range, Ginger, Pine and Black Eyed Susie, as well as three beautiful hand dyed linens from the South Coast of England. Every winter we think about selling velvet, and we have finally succumb to these jewel like tones, we have Amber, Ripple, Mulberry, and Hudson. Click on the images to take you to the particular product. We hope to see you in the shop soon!
