Description:

A classic pinafore for work and play. With a buttoned side fastening, side and back pockets. Make it long with a back split or short just below the knee. Accentuate the detailing with contrast top stitching or keep it simple with matching thread.

Size UK 6 - 18.

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.

Skill level - experienced.

This PDF pattern is made up of 2 A0 pages and 38 A4 pages.

Fabric suggestions - 8-12oz denim, cotton twill or canvas, corduroy, moleskin, half panama cotton. For a softer look and feel you could try a mid weight linen or tencel/linen blend.For the facings we would recommend either a cotton muslin or a slip viscose lining.

You are purchasing a digital file which will be stored on your account to be downloaded at any time. PDF's will include a tiled, an A0 copy shop file and your instructions. The tiled file can be used on any home printer and stuck together and is compatible with both A4 and US letter paper. Alternatively, you can send off the copy shop file to be printed full size; we can usually recommend someone in your area. If you are in the UK, we would recommend The Fold Line. The instructions can either be printed at home or simply follow along on your computer or phone.

Whittaker Hack – Belt and Loops

The Whittaker was designed to be made in a denim, or a sturdy fabric like a canvas. A lovely customer game in one day in a linen version with added belt loops and belt – genius! The linen gives a softer slouchy silhouette and is the perfect Summer day dress. We’ve made our own below in Bathgate Blue, which is a medium weight linen, follow the instructions to make your own. You can tie the belt at the front or back.
