We wanted to put together a short plan of action for you regarding the direction we are heading with our patterns. You may have noticed that we have recently been releasing some PDF patterns, after having always been exclusively paper. We want as many people as possible to have access to our patterns. PDF patterns give people that accessibility without incurring shipping costs. Paper fans do not fear, we will always continue to sell paper patterns too!
For patterns that have been released in the last couple of years it will be a quick process transferring them to PDF. However patterns older than that we will be redoing the instructions to match our current style so this will take a little longer. There will also be A0 files included in all future PDF pattern releases and we will be adding the A0 versions to our current PDF’s shortly. If you have previously bought a PDF pattern from us and would like the A0 version please email us at [email protected].
We are also in the beginning stages of extending our size range beyond an 18, probably to a size 28 or 30. Unfortunately it’s not a straightforward process of grading up from our existing blocks, new blocks need to be created and thoroughly tested. So do bear with us while we work through this new process but know that every effort is being taken to make these new size patterns the best they can be. We aim to make this available for our most popular current patterns and all future pattern releases. The process of printing patterns takes 6-8 weeks so these extended sizes will be available as PDF versions first.
