WORKWEAR book launch - 16th May 2026

Join us to celebrate the launch of our upcoming book, WORKWEAR. Working clothing patterns that are clean, simple and practical.

WORKWEAR presents five new patterns: A chore jacket, a classic shirt, a pair of trousers, a classic blazer, a Japanese-inspired mail bag. In genderless sizing from XS-XXXL we illustrate the eternal relevance and versatility of traditional workwear shapes and detailing. We have explored the concept and designs within the book through conversations with makers of varying disciplines, from weaving to wood turning.

The book will launch online 14th May 2026. Sign up for notifications here or, if you're in the US, you can pre-order via the other retailers in the link here.

We're having a book launch party on Saturday 16th May in our Tower St cloth store, 10:00 - 17:00. Be the first to get a copy of our new book, try on the samples and get ready for making with utility cloth & inspiration from our team. Meet the makers featured in the book and learn about their craft. We’ll be giving away five woven labels to stitch inside your WORKWEAR garments with each purchase of the book on the day. Wear your favourite M&M makes and have your photo taken and shared with the #mmsocialclub. The theme of the event is ‘Workwear & Utility Cloth’. If you’d like, you can join our team in wearing M&M makes inspired by this theme. We can’t wait to see you there!

If you're busy or far away, don't worry! The book will be available online and we'll be sharing lots of inspiration and resources over the coming months.
