It's been 2.5 years since we collaborated with Cawley studio on the Cawley pattern. An artist's smock dress with front welt & in-seam pockets.
We've seen so many wonderful variations popping up online over this time. Quite a few people chose to shorten the pattern into a shirt. It feels like the perfect shirt, swingy and full, cosy in a needlecord for autumn or roll up your sleeves in summer in a tumbled white linen. We've included a hack below which includes the fabric requirements.
You can find the instructions on how to do this here.
Please note you will need the original Cawley pattern.
We chose to make our shirt in Earthenware Linen/Cotton.
