The minimum order for fabric is 0.5M. You can then order in 10cm increments there after.
For example if you'd like 2.8M this is what you type in the box. All computer screens will show colours slightly differently.
We always recommend ordering a sample to ensure the fabric is the weight and colour you require.
Please note, fabric is classed as a bespoke order, so we cannot accept returns.
Best quality dry oilskin made in the UK.
This is quite a blue grey shade. The finish is drier and crisper than our other oilskins with a matte appearance. Unlike normal oilskin there would be no oil transfer, so you don't need to line your garment or bag.
This type of oilskin is water resistant, so this means that the water doesn’t completely run off it, but it won't come through to the other side either.
Ideal for bags and accessories and particularly fab for an outdoor Top 64 and Landgate top.
All our oilskins are sent folded unless otherwise requested. There is an additional charge for oilskin orders totalling less than 10m to be sent rolled. Please see our FAQ section for details.
The planning stage of sewing can be just as fun as the actual making. I’ve often overwhelmed myself with all the possibilities of colours and fabrics! The Parka has a few elements to it, the outer fabric, lining fabric (if making the lined version), drawstring cord, ribbing for the neckline, and buttons. You can also add some extra hardware options like cord stops and cord locks.
It can be tricky ordering fabric online, especially trying to match your fabric to the rib. We’ve given you 10 options below to make things a bit easier. If we’ve not covered one of the fabrics you are thinking of using you can always email us for help with matching it up to the rib. Our Barrier Lining in Tan and Black is ideal for the Parka as it has a water repellent finish, giving you extra protection from the elements.

Trying to colour match ribbing to your main fabric can be tricky. We have done a spot of personal shopping for you and matched all our striped ribs to our current collection of cloth. We find most people use these ribs for the Fielder and the Tee Shirt patterns, so we have included fabrics that work for these. However, we are releasing a parka coat pattern this Autumn which has a ribbed collar and would work perfectly with oilskins so we have included these where appropriate. We hope this is a helpful resource for you!
