Indigo Kantha Stitched

A delicately detailed Indian handloom cotton in indigo with stripes of cream hand stitching.

Kantha Stitched is suitable for tops, dresses and skirts with fullness. It would also make beautiful breezy curtains.

Please note that as this cloth is heavily dyed with natural indigo we recommend for the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye, however the indigo will continue to come out and lose colour over time and the white stitching will become blue.

• Please note: Indian hand-made cloths are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the print, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws.
• For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.
• Wash at 30 or 40 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble dry.
• As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project.
