Cotton/Linen Double Gauze

A soft double gauze in grassy green and pink. 

Double gauze consists of two layers of fine open woven cotton/linen blend. They are attached together with tiny stab stitches at regular intervals, usually every centimetre, in a grid pattern.

Due to the open weave nature of this cloth it may be susceptible to irregularities in the weave, these are not classed as flaws. We recommend using a smaller stitch length for these double gauze fabrics. For example a number 2.

Melica Rose would make a great pair of Winnies with a matching Sunday!

• 155cm wide.
• 4.6oz, 157gsm.
• 75% cotton, 25% linen.
• Country of origin; India.
• For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.
• As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project.
