A hand block printed indigo kala cotton with a mini spot design. This cloth is dyed using Ajrakh, a traditional method of block printing that origninated over 4,500 years ago, using natural dyes often with geometric patterns.
This cloth would make beautiful skirts, dresses, tops, shirts and lightweight trousers. It would also be suitable for curtains or cushions. We would make an All State.

- Indian handlooms are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the weave due to their handmade nature, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws.
- For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.
- This fabric is dyed with natural dyes and therefore needs to be washed separately with a mild non-bio detergent. Please expect some fading over time due to the natural dye process.
- Wash at 30 or 40 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble.
- As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project.
