Description:

*Please note that this is a new parka pattern which has been redrafted for our unisex size range. We have also incorporated the hood into the pattern so no need for the hood addition with this pattern. Our Tn31 Parka pattern has now been discontinued but the hood addition is still available here.

TN34 is a relaxed and versatile interpretation of the classic fishtail parka. Lined or unlined with a hood or ribbing, it can work for all seasons.

Size XS - XXXL

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.

Skill level - advanced.

This PDF pattern is made up of 6 A0 pages and 108 A4 pages.

Fabric suggestions - Dry Oilskin, Oilskin (lined version only), tweed, woollens, cotton drill, cotton canvas, waterproofed cotton and linens.

For the lining we would recommend using our barrier lining if you are making the oilskin version. Other lining options: brushed cotton, cotton poplin. The lining choice has to be substantial enough to accommodate buttonholes - this garment was designed for oilskin so the lining prevents oilskin touching the clothing.

For the ribbing neckline, we have used rib that stretches by half again, ie. 10cm piece stretches to 15cm. You can also use premade ribs found here.

Paper vs PDF

If you order a paper copy you will be sent a printed version of our pattern. If you select PDF, you are purchasing a digital file which will be stored on your account to be downloaded at any time. PDF's will include a tiled, an A0 copy shop file and your instructions. The tiled file can be used on any home printer and stuck together and is compatible with both A4 and US letter paper. Alternatively, you can send off the copy shop file to be printed full size; we can usually recommend someone in your area. If you are in the UK, we would recommend The Fold Line. The instructions can either be printed at home or simply follow along on your computer or phone.
