A green, orange and pink mini gingham with a contrast border each side of the selvedge of darker green and pink gingham. Jamboree also features a sweet, light blue, jacquard weave border. These cottons would make excellent shirts, skirts and dresses. You could use them to make a Mathilde with the selvedge detail running along the hem. To do this, you need to use the fabric cross grain so you need to buy a total of 2.4M for sizes 6-16, and 2.8M for sizes 18-28. When cutting out, the 1M length of the skirt runs across the width of the fabric, and the hem runs parallel to the selvedge.
Our Indian cottons are delicate and lightweight, so perfect for Summer sewing. You can also use them for patchwork or home projects like curtains.
- 3oz, 103gsm.
- 155cm wide.
- 100% cotton.
- For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.
- Wash at 30 or 40 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble dry.
- As our Indian cloth is handmade, they are susceptible to irregularities in the weave or print, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws.
- As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project.
