Plain Cotton

A really unusual south Indian cotton with a soft and silky handle, similar to a sateen. A bright post box red.

This cloth would make beautiful skirts, dresses, tops and shirts. It would also be suitable for lightweight curtains.

This cloth is produced in 3m pieces, if you order over 3m's it will not be sent in a continuous piece.

*Please note this cloth has been discounted due to having very small knots in the yarn that have been woven through the cloth on one side. This does not effect the integrity of the cloth.

• 3oz, 100gsm.
• 100cm wide.
• 100% cotton.
• Country of origin; India.
• Indian handlooms are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the weave due to their handmade nature, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws.
• For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.
• Wash at 30 or 40 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble dry.
• As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project.
