All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.

Skill level - intermediate.

This PDF pattern is made up of 1 A0 page and 23 A4 pages.

Paper vs PDF

If you order a paper copy you will be sent a printed version of our pattern. If you select PDF, you are purchasing a digital file which will be stored on your account to be downloaded at any time. PDF's will include a tiled, an A0 copy shop file and your instructions. The tiled file can be used on any home printer and stuck together and is compatible with both A4 and US letter paper. Alternatively, you can send off the copy shop file to be printed full size; we can usually recommend someone in your area. If you are in the UK, we would recommend The Fold Line. The instructions can either be printed at home or simply follow along on your computer or phone.

Suitable Fabrics

Please look in suitable fabrics for our suggestions, for the lining we suggest something like a simple cotton, or a duck canvas will give it more body and stability.

You will need (in addition to your fabrics)

Matching thread x 1.

Buckles 1.8CM (3/4") x 2.

Rivets approx 9MM x 18.

Buckle 2.5CM (1") x 1.

Magnetic Clasp x 1.

D-rings 2.5CM (1″) x 2.

Leather Strap 1.3CM (1/2″) handle.

Leather Strap 1.8CM (3/4″) pocket straps.

Leather Strap 2.5CM (1″) shoulder strap.

Please note you need to use our split cowhide leather straps and not the veg tan. These are thinner so will work much better with the buckles. You can find these straps in the 'suitable fabrics' tab. Using our brass roller buckles? Because of the large circular prong part on these buckles we recommend that you do a row of 4 holes in your leather. This will ensure that the circular part of the prong pushes completely through.
