This is a hack for making our men’s pattern, the Foreman, a neater fit for a woman. The jacket and sleeves are shortened and it is taken down a grade at the shoulder. To work out which size to make, we would suggest looking at the finished chest measurement ad either compare this with a jacket you like the fit of, or use a tape measure around your bust to check size/ease.
We shortened the jacket by 15cm for this hack. For a shortened version, the fabric requirements remain the same as the original, except for 110 wide sizes 42-46, 140 wide 36-40, 150 wide 36-44, which can be reduced by 30cm.
Our model is a size 10, 5.6, and is wearing a 38 (which has been graded to a 36 at the shoulder). The jacket is made out of our Soft Cotton Canvas in Sizzle.
