Description:

This copious bucket bag has space for an almost infinite amount of stuff. Make it in traditional British oilskin, sturdy canvas, cotton drill or denim. The most useful of bags.

Fully lined with 3 divided internal pockets, for external pockets you will need an additional 30cm of self fabric.

Finished measurements length 43cm, width 47cm.

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.

Skill level - beginner.

Fabric suggestions - Oilskin, Dry Oilskin, Mid-Heavy weight Cotton Canvas or Drill, Mid weight Denim (8-14oz) for the lining we suggest something like a simple cotton or Duck Canvas.

*Please note we have now changed pattern printers. Our patterns are now printed within Europe, the pattern paper is 70gsm white (FSC® certified) and is made only 180km away from the printers. Our instructions now come in booklet format rather than A3 sheets. The paper is PEFC/01-31-126 certified.

Paper vs PDF

If you order a paper copy you will be sent a printed version of our pattern. If you select PDF, you are purchasing a digital file which will be stored on your account to be downloaded at any time. PDF's will include a tiled, an A0 copy shop file and your instructions. The tiled file can be used on any home printer and stuck together and is compatible with both A4 and US letter paper. Alternatively, you can send off the copy shop file to be printed full size; we can usually recommend someone in your area. If you are in the UK, we would recommend The Fold Line. The instructions can either be printed at home or simply follow along on your computer or phone.

You will need (in addition to your fabrics)

1 x Matching thread

2.5cm (1") Leather Strap 70cm

4 x Rivets approx 9mm

2 x D Rings 2.5cm (1")

1 x Magnetic Clasp

Webbing for Handle 1m (optional)

When inserting the rivets we recommend using a very solid surface like a cement floor so there is no movement.
