Merchant & Mills HOUSE

- The Florence
During this tutorial Katie Talks through various Florence samples with Michelle Zimmer (cloth buyer at Merchant & Mills). Katie is using Frontier Forest Black for her Florence. This is a linen cotton blend, the cotton content gives the cloth a bit more stability, making it easier to sew! We also have this cloth available in blue, red, grey, emerald and navy.We encourage you to purchase samples to ensure the cloth is exactly the weight and colour you’d like.Always pre-wash your cloth, to get rid of any shrinkage.
Suitable fabrics, sizing, fabric quantities, and picture gallery please visit The Florence pattern page and choose the appropriate tab.
THE TOOLS WE USED IN THIS TUTORIAL
8′′ Red shears, white chalk pencil, tailor’s chalk, glass headed pins, bespoke tape measure, easy thread needles, tailor’s beeswax, wide bow scissors, seam ripper, bamboo point turner, pin magnet, buttonhole scissors.
