9oz Utility Canvas Black
Description
A classic utility cotton basket weave in black. This is a soft but strong cotton canvas that would be suitable for bag making, coats, jackets and trousers that require some structure like our Eve pattern.
Utility Black is suitable for the following patterns in our Workbook: Haremere coat.
We have other colours of Utility 9oz, Black, Tan, Navy and Olive. You can see these by clicking on the alternative fabrics tab.
- 150cm wide.
- 9oz, 300gsm.
- Country of origin; Turkey.
- 100% cotton.
- Wash at 30/40 degrees.
- As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project.
- Thread match Gutermann Sew All 000.
Washing Instructions
Always pre wash your fabric before sewing. Putting a large piece of medium-heavy weight cotton into the washing machine can sometimes lead to white creases within the cloth, this is because it is a stiff fabric so it doesn’t have room to move around. We recommend doing the following to help this not to happen:
