A Bagru block print horizontal stripe in classic red. Bagru, a small village in Rajasthan, 35 kilometres from Jaipur, is known for its hand block printing utilising traditional processes and natural colours. Bagru prints tend to be simpler, with limited colours in comparison to Sanganer block prints, which are more colourful with finer detail. Block printing is still practised by the Chippa community, who have lived here for over 400 years.
Rocket is suitable for tops, dresses and skirts with fullness such as The Omilie or The Florence.
- 2.6oz, 88.5gsm.
- 113cm wide.
- 100% cotton.
- This fabric is hand-dyed. For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will fix the dye to prevent it from running.
- As our Indian cloth is handmade, they are susceptible to irregularities in the weave or print; this is all part of its charm and is not classed as a flaw.
- As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project.
- Thread match Gutermann Sew All: 421.
